Getting Started
Welcome to Racing To Win — your racing bet tracking platform for horse racing, greyhound racing and harness racing.
Whether you're a casual punter or a regular bettor, Racing To Win helps you record your bets, track your betting bank, monitor your results and understand how your betting is performing over time.
Follow this step-by-step guide to get started.
Step 1: Sign in to Your Account
Visit RacingToWin.com and sign in to your account.
If you're new to Racing To Win, select Sign up to create an account. You can sign in using the available Google, Apple or email options.
Your account allows your betting sessions and recorded bets to be saved for future reference.
Step 2: Set Up Your Betting Bank in Accounts (Optional)
Navigate to the Accounts page.
Here, you can set up your overall betting bank by entering your opening balance.
Your betting bank represents the total amount of money you have allocated to betting across your bookmaker accounts.
- Opening betting bank: $2,000
In this example, your total betting bank is $2,000.
Setting up your overall betting bank is optional. However, entering an opening balance can help you establish a starting point for monitoring your betting finances.
Step 3: Add Your Bookmaker Balances
Before starting a betting session, add the bookmaker accounts you intend to use and enter their current balances.
For example:
- Bookmaker A: $1,200
- Bookmaker B: $800
- Bookmaker C: $500
These balances represent the funds you have available with each bookmaker.
Make sure the balances you enter are correct. Accurate starting figures will help you maintain reliable records of your betting activity.
If you use multiple bookmakers, setting up each balance makes it easier to keep track of where your betting funds are held.
Step 4: Add Your Bookmaker Bonuses (Optional)
If a bookmaker has credited promotional bonus bets to your account, you can record and track them in the Bonuses area on the Accounts page — it sits directly below the Bookmaker area.
For each bonus, you can enter:
- Bookmaker: The bookmaker that issued the bonus.
- Amount: The promotional credit value.
- Expiry date: When the bonus must be used by.
- Stake returned: Whether the bookmaker returns the bonus stake on a win, or pays winnings only.
- Refund restores credit: Whether a scratched or voided bet restores the bonus credit.
Bonus credit is tracked separately from your cash balance, so your bookmaker cash figures always reflect real money only.
When you place a bet with a bookmaker that has an active bonus available, a Use Bonuses option appears in the bet entry, letting you pay the stake with bonus credit — or split it between cash and bonus.
Step 5: Choose Your Bookmaker and Start Betting
Navigate to the Bookmakers page.
Select the bookmaker you want to use for your next betting session.
Before starting, enter the following details:
- Risk ($)
Enter the amount you intend to put at risk for the session, according to your chosen staking approach.
For example, you might allocate $100 to a session.
- Number of races
Enter the number of races you plan to bet on during the session.
For example, if you intend to bet on 10 races, enter 10.
These details help define the session you are about to undertake.
Once you've checked your entries, click Start Betting.
You can now proceed to the Betting page to record your individual bets.
Step 6: Record Your Bet
On the Betting page, click Place a Bet to enter the details of the race you want to bet on.
Complete the requested information carefully. Depending on the fields presented, this may include details such as:
- Racing code: horse, greyhound or harness
- Track
- Race number
- Runner or selection
- Bet amount or stake
- Odds
Enter the details that apply to your bet, using the correct stake and odds.
Double-check your selection and figures before saving the bet. Recording the correct information is essential for calculating your results accurately.
Repeat this process each time you place another bet during your session.
Step 7: Enter the Race Result
Once the race has finished and the official result is available, return to your recorded bet on the Betting page.
Use the results dropdown to select the appropriate race outcome, then choose the runner's finishing placement.
For example:
- 1st place: Your selected runner won.
- 2nd place: Your selected runner finished second.
- 3rd place: Your selected runner finished third.
- Unplaced: Your selected runner finished outside the relevant placing positions.
Choose the correct result for your runner based on the official race outcome and the options available in the dropdown.
Make sure you record the result against the correct bet.
The result allows Racing To Win to update your betting records and calculate the relevant return and profit or loss according to the bet details and the platform's calculation rules.
Step 8: Review Your Betting Performance
Navigate to the History page to review your recorded betting activity and previous sessions.
Keeping a complete history helps you understand how your betting is performing over time.
Use your records to review:
- Wins and losses: How your individual bets have performed.
- Profit or loss: Whether your betting activity has generated a net profit or loss.
- Return on investment (ROI): How your returns compare with the amount invested.
- Session performance: How individual betting sessions compare.
- Historical records: Your previous bets and results for future reference.
Rather than judging your performance on a single winning race or losing day, review your results across a larger number of bets.
Consistent record-keeping can help you identify patterns, assess your staking approach and make better-informed decisions about your betting activity.
Step 9: Keep Your Records Accurate
For the most useful results, follow these simple practices:
- Keep your bookmaker balances up to date.
- Record each bet with the correct stake and odds.
- Enter race results only after checking the official outcome.
- Make sure each result corresponds to the correct runner and bet.
- Review your History page regularly.
- Compare your overall performance over time rather than focusing only on individual wins.
Accurate records are the foundation of useful betting analysis.
